Chandra Shekher Karki

With over 30 years of experience in photojournalism, Chandra Shekhar Karki has established a remarkable career documenting significant events and stories for high-profile clients and organizations.

Specializing in impactful imagery, he has successfully collaborated with media outlets and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs). Notably, he contributed to the design and editing of the UNDP World Report and coordinated the coffee table book *Under the Tent*, published by UNICEF Nepal. His expertise extends in editing two renowned photobooks: *Nepal: The Land of Contrast* by the Photo Journalist Club of Nepal and *Forts of Nepal*.

Currently serving as a Photo Editor at Upasana Media Group since January 2021, he brings a wealth of experience from previous roles, including Photo Editor at Sadrishya and Nepal Republic Media. His extensive freelance work includes photographing for notable international organizations such as UN, UNMAS, UNICEF, UNDP, DFID, Asia foundation, International Labour Organization etc.,along with a long tenure at Kantipur Media Group, where he held several positions, including Assistant Photo Editor and Senior Photojournalist. He even served Department of Archeology, Government of Nepal and Nepal Television too.
Throughout the career, he has demonstrated a passion for visual storytelling, capturing the essence of Nepal’s landscapes, people, and culture.
