Pradeep Raj Onta

The National Forum of Photojournalists (NFPJ Nepal) is the leading association representing professional photojournalists across Nepal. Established in 1997 under the Association Registration Act, 2053 (1977), NFPJ Nepal is dedicated to promoting the art and profession of photojournalism, advocating for the rights of photojournalists, and ensuring accurate news delivery through powerful visual storytelling. With district committees in 35 districts and a network of over 500 active members nationwide, NFPJ Nepal fosters the growth and development of photojournalism throughout the country.

Pradeep Raj Onta, a dynamic senior photojournalist with the National News Agency, has played a pivotal role in advancing NFPJ Nepal’s mission. Recently reelected during the 13th convention celebrating the organization’s 27th anniversary, Onta has been instrumental in supporting events of photography as a trainer, judge, and advisor. Under his leadership, NFPJ has successfully launched branches across various regions of Nepal, creating numerous opportunities for both aspiring and professional photojournalists.
